Inspired by Lon Chaney and William Makepeace Thackeray. This painting was bought by a husband for his wife and now hangs in Folkestone.
SOLD Withersdane Cockeral![]() Withersdane is the name given to a large house situated on the outskirts of Wye. I was looking after someone's chickens in this area. The cockeral was the most handsome I had ever seen. Whilst I was absorbing the beauty of the cockeral, the sky grew black above the downs.
I went home full of inspiration, I had to paint what I had just seen. Sadly on the day I finished the painting the cockerel, his owner informed me that he was no more, he had become a victim of Mr Fox. SOLD Zoe![]() Zoe was another dog who also enjoyed the Wye countryside. She had been a wonderful companion to her owner's elderyl Mother.
After she died her owner gave me a photograph of Zoe in the garden and asked me to paint her as a gift for her Mother. I decided to paint Zoe in the landscape where she used run free. COMMISSION |
Allotment Scarecrow![]() Sitting in the sun I was taking a lunch break, admiring the ground I had been digging. Two crows landed and explored the soil. It was almost as if to say we will be watching for when you sow the seeds!
I have formed a great fascination for scarecrows and so created yet another fantasty scarecrow in my studio. Fortunately a client from London who also has a liking for scarecrows too, purchased my painting. SOLD ALL ARTWORK IS SUBJECT TO COPYRIGHT
